We asked the artists exhibiting at this event four questions about the influence that Marcel Duchamp and the collectors have had on their work. Here we look at the answers of Claude Closky, creator of the exhibit "A Flat World." He mentions that while being influenced by the collectors, he also wants to influence them with his art.

Born in 1963 in Paris. Lives and works in Paris.
Recent major exhibitions include "49th Venice Biennale" in 2001 "Rencontre Claude Closky"(solo exhibition), Centre Pompidou, MNAM-CCI Paris, in 2006, and "8002-9891" (solo exhibition), MAC/VAL, Musee d'art contemporain du Val- de-Marne, Vitry-sur Seine, France in 2008.

A: And I am very grateful to them for this.
A: Hopefully it goes the other way around, art affects collectors' lives, perhaps their careers.
