More than 100,000 Visitors to Date! The Louise Bourgeois Exhibition Will Be Open throughout the New Year Holidays

2024.12.6 [Fri]

On Friday, December 6, the 73rd day since its opening, the number of visitors to the Louise Bourgeois: I have been to hell and back. And let me tell you, it was wonderful. exhibition topped 100,000.

This is the first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan in 27 years by Louise Bourgeois, known for her giant spider public art piece Maman (1999/2002), the widely recognized symbol of Roppongi Hills. Even visitors who had only seen Maman have had high praise for the exhibition, saying that they were able to truly feel Bourgeois’s inner world and worldview through her works, videos, and the words posted on the walls.

If you haven’t visited this exhibition yet, be sure to come to the Mori Art Museum during your December and New Year’s outings!

- The Mori Art Museum will be open throughout the New Year holidays, and will extend its opening hours until 22:00 on Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 31, 2024 (Tuesdays are usually only open until 17:00). Click here for details.

- The Louise Bourgeois exhibition will run through Sunday, January 19, 2025, and it will be crowded towards the end of the exhibition period, so we recommend coming early.
