At the program held on May 23, 2024, the Mori Art Museum Learning Curator gave an explanation about the Theaster Gates: Afro-Mingei exhibition and introduced the museum’s School Program undertaking, and discussed along with the teachers from various schools about the initiatives and concerns they may have in the field.

The participating teachers gave us the feedback that they were able to rethink the subject of art, and felt that art could give them an opportunity to change their views of the world.

The date of the next edition of this program will be announced on the Mori Art Museum website, and we encourage participation not only from arts and crafts or the fine arts teachers, but also from students and teachers of other subjects, interested in classes in collaboration with the museum. We look forward to having you join in.
