A wooden house built in 1953 in the Seijo area of Tokyo is one of the few houses designed by Tange Kenzo. This house is reinterpretation of much older structures like the Katsura Imperial Villa. This famous piece of architecture, which opened up new creative possibilities in modern architecture has recreated at the exhibition venue at 1/3 scale by a miya-daiku or shrine carpenter.
