MACHINE LOVE Artist Talk: Anicka Yi + Hui Yuk
MACHINE LOVE Related Program
Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation available
We are hosting a conversation between MACHINE LOVE exhibition-featured artist Anicka Yi and philosopher Hui Yuk. Anicka Yi has recently presented “Painting” series using algorithms, exploring the fluid relationship between biology and technology through art. On the other hand, the concept of “technodiversity” advocated by Hui Yuk emphasizes the perspective that technology is not merely a universal tool, but should have diverse forms rooted in regional, cultural, and historical backgrounds.
At this program, we will explore, based on their unique perspectives, the new possibilities of expression where technology and art intersect, and examine the impact of technology on our society.
