MAM Research 010 and MAM Screen 019 Related Program
Japanese-Chinese simultaneous interpretation available
MAM Research 010 and MAM Screen 019 will introduce ten pioneers of Taiwanese video art from the 1980s to the 1990s.
These two exhibitions bring together the essence of the exhibition Rewind: Video Art in Taiwan 1983-1999 held at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei in 2015, and in this program Sing Song-Yong (a professor at Taipei National University of the Arts) will discuss various topics including the preparation process for this exhibition, research done for the exhibition, and the reproductions of works that no longer exist. In the second half, we will introduce the contents of MAM Research 010 and MAM Screen 019 and the relationship of the exhibiting artists with Japan.
