Urgent Talk 009:
Nina Fischer & Maroan el Sani, Video Work Screening and Talk
Nina Fischer and Maroan el Sani are an artist unit whose works vary from video, photography to installation. They are mainly based in Berlin, but seem to be closely associated to Japan, seen from their participation in an Mori Art Museum exhibition "Tokyo-Berlin / Berlin-Tokyo" (2006) and their long-time stay in Sapporo with themselves being Associate Professors at Sapporo City University (2007-2010). On this occasion, their recent works including Spelling Dystopia / Sayonara Hashima (2008-09) and Narita Field Trip (2010), both staged in Japan, will be screened and subsequently the artists will discuss them. This is a great opportunity to know the latest activities of the artist unit that happens to be currently staying in Japan for an Artist-in-Residence program in Kyoto.
