Special talk vol.2 “Nanjo Fumio and Satoh Taku”
Nanjo Fumio, Director of the Museum, and Satoh Taku, who is a graphic designers well as MAMC Honorary Member, will give a talk about how to enjoy contemporary art, focusing on design and art in our daily life.

<PROFILE> TAKU SATOH Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, majoring in Design, in 1979; completed graduate course at same university in 1981. Initially joined Dentsu, then established Taku Satoh Design Office Inc. in 1984.Created product designers for "Nikka Pure Malt". "Lotte Chewing Gum (Mint series)", "Lotte XYLITOL Gum", "Taisho Pharmaceutical's ZENA" nutritious drink, MEIJI Dairies' "Oishii Gyunyu" milk, and "NTT Docomo P701iD" cellular phone etc. Creative VI for, "21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa". Involved in planning and art direction of "Nihongo de Asobo" (Let's Play in Japanese) TV program on NHK educational channel, and in "Analysis of the Mass-product Design" project ("dissecting" mass-produced merchandise from the perspective of design). Major exhibitions include "Analysis of the Mass-product Design" (Tokyo, 2001), "ANATOMIA DO DESIGN: a obra de Taku Satoh" (Japanese Culture Center, Sao Paulo, 2002) and "PLASTICITY" (Ginza Graphic Gallery, Tokyo, 2004). From 30 March 2007, become a director of 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT at Mid Town, Tokyo. |
