At MAMC Night we endeavor to present a variety of ways to enjoy art, exclusively for members.
This event will feature a gallery tour by Kataoka Mami, the exhibition curator, and also a special screening of the film "BIRD'S NEST - Herzog & de Meuron in China".
The "Bird's Nest" was of course the main stadium used during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This documentary film follows the construction of the stadium, looking at the work of the architects Herzog and de Meuron and also at the role of Ai Weiwei, who advised on the project.
The screening will take place in an experimental setting, with 100 Chinese chairs from the Qing period - an installation by Ai Weiwei - being used as seats for the audience.
Don't miss this once-only opportunity!
